Peace Corps Togo Volunteers
Peace Corps volunteers in Togo have been our greatest supporters with our in-country auctions. It is an understanding among the volunteer community that money generated through GAD fundraisers ultimately funds our own GAD projects, and volunteers are always down to support a great cause. Furthermore, since the committee is a PCV run committee, we’re always looking for new committee members each year. It’s a great way for PCVs in Togo to advocate for gender and development projects and awareness throughout Togo. Finally, we really encourage PCVs to try to always include a GAD component in their projects whether at-site projects or national projects. For project ideas that involve gender and development, please see our Projects in a Box.

Family and Friends
Our families and friends back home are often our greatest cheerleaders when it comes to our Peace Corps service. For the GAD committee in Togo, donations that come through care packages are usually a hit during our auctions and help us raise money for our small grants fund. Families and friends can further support through donations to the Togo Country Fund, specifying that the donation is in support for the GAD committee’s projects.

Peace Corps Staff
Peace Corps Staff in country are here for volunteers and that does not exclude volunteer committees. Peace Corps staff often participates in GAD auctions, helping us fund raise as well as making our fundraising events among other programming events feasible. We greatly appreciate the  backing and assistance from our Peace Corps staff!

NGOs and other Host Country Partners in Togo
NGOs and other host country partners in Togo are encouraged to work with PCVs, especially in implementing projects with a focus on gender and development. Our small grants fund application is specifically designed to implicate our host country partners as the leaders in applying for the grant, and monitoring and evaluating project results.
